The following information is a collection of issues that are frequently received at the M2 Technology helpdesk. If you cannot find a suitable solution here, we encourage you to send a description of the issue, any screenshots and any troubleshooting that you have already completed to

Autto Attendant Answering

This could be due to a power problem. Check that the power cable is connected. Re-set your M2 Technology system by switching off the power point off – wait 10 seconds and switch back on again. If this does not resolve the issue, contact your installer, or email tech support.

This can only occur if you have accidentally recorded your day or night message into the on hold area. Have you recorded your own messages?

Check that you have recorded into the correct menu and not accidentally recorded into the day message menu.

M2 Technology systems are connected to a wide range of phone systems and programming can be different with each customer. Email tech support.

M2 Technology hardware is programmed to work in conjunction with your telephone system. For example, if you have changed from one brand of phone system to another, the M2 Technology software will need to be re-programmed. It’s a bit like asking a DVD player to play Blu-ray, or transferring a Windows program to a Mac and expecting it to operate.

Yes, a programming fee will apply. Email the audio files to tech@m2technology.com.au for a quotation.

If your office hours have changed, you may require your Auto Attendant to answer calls earlier or later. Email tech support. While you're at it, you may need to update your On Hold message too.

If your business is now operating in a Daylight Saving State, you may need to adjust the time on your system. Contact your Dealer for assistance or email tech support.

You may have accidentally recorded a hang-up tone as your greeting message. Re-record your greeting message and test. email tech support if required

Is your on hold message playing? Callers sometimes think they have been hung up on when they hear silence.

Did you check you were recording into the correct menu. You may have accidentally recorded over the day attendant.

Unless you have Flexicall Manager Supervisor Software this is generally a basic remote service, email tech support.

Monitor the message you have recorded. If you did not press * (star) at the end of your recording the system may have recorded you hanging up the handset. Once you have pressed star the system will re-play your message. Then press * (star) twice to exit.
Alternatively – if you would like a professionally recorded greeting, email tech support.

Never delete a menu as this causes programming issues. Email tech support.

Email tech support with the model number and serial number of your system. No charges apply for a reply.
